Samantha's BIG Haircut
After a winter of unsticking her hair from her face, where it was perma glued with snot and food on a thrice daily basis, we finally decided to cut bangs. But then really, that just moved the mess further back. She has gorgeous hair when she lets us put it up, which is only about once every 10 days. Ben had the vision of shorter hair for her. I admit, I resisted. Fearing she had my fine hair and it would just turn into a big cotton candy boufont every morning when she woke up, I kept saying no. Plus, after our experience at Snip-its, it was a pain to think about figuring out where to take a toddler for a fashionable haircut.
Alas, when visiting Illinois, we decided her mullet needed to go. She was very excited to go to "the hair cut store". We did all of this due diligence: "Hey, Shannon, where is there a walk-in hair cut place like a Cost Cutters or something?" She told us and we picked the closest one. How's that for research?
Sammy was all excited at first.
She was a little timid when we got started and then looked a little worried - but was a champ. As was the woman who cut her mullet into the cutest little bob ever. And then blew it out. This haircut is totally Samantha, smart, fiesty, and fun. We should have done it long ago.
